We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Report Developer to join our team. As a Power BI Report Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining dynamic, interactive, and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI. Your expertise in writing DAX formulas, data modeling, and visualization will be crucial in delivering actionable insights to drive data-informed decision-making.
People with previous US or International Projects experience will be preferred. This role will be home based and part-time up to 25 hours per week (5 hours per day). It does require US working hours and attendance between 9AM - 5PM US EASTERN TIME, Monday to Friday with occasional changes based on Support or Go Live dates.
A working internet connection, Development Computer, and a Smart Mobile is required. This is an independent contractor position and no company equipment or expense reimbursement is offered.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Proven experience in developing and delivering Power BI reports and dashboards.
· Strong proficiency in writing DAX formulas for complex calculations and data manipulation.
· Solid understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
· Proficiency in data visualization techniques and the ability to design visually appealing and user-friendly reports.
· Experience in optimizing Power BI reports for performance and efficiency.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective report designs.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of SQL and experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes is a plus.
· Conduct/Coordinate User Acceptance Testing.
· Strong experience working in Agile methodologies and SCRUM execution
· Expertise in working with Git or Bit bucket, source control, JIRA, confluence and SLACK.
· Experience working on Power BI projects.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
· Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that provide meaningful and actionable insights to stakeholders.
· Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective report designs.
· Design and implement data models that optimize performance and facilitate efficient data analysis.
· Write complex DAX formulas to calculate and manipulate data in Power BI reports.
· Implement best practices for data visualization to ensure clear and intuitive representation of information.
· Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports for improved speed and efficiency.
· Ensure data accuracy and reliability by conducting thorough testing and validation of reports.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in Power BI to enhance skills and provide innovative solutions.
· Provide technical support and guidance to end users regarding Power BI reports and functionality.
· Ability to maintain code assets in code repositories.
